Amwell Valley Cricket Club
Our club is a volunteer-run, family-oriented nonprofit organization ran by the members for the members. 2010 was our first year as a club.We aim to provide an environment that welcomes members new to the sport of Cricket as well as more experienced player members. We are running a mixture of "nets" (where we provide coaching on all aspects of the game) as well as informal recreational games where we put our skills to the test. The club welcomes interest from all. Our priority is for Members to have FUN - we want everyone to participate as actively as possible, regardless of ability, age and experience. In addition to regular nets (practice) and games, we will arrange a number of social events throughout the season and look forward to everyone participating. This year our club charity is the Hunterdon Regional Medical Center, Special Olympics of NJ & The Wounded Warrior Project, and I look forward to all our members participating to help such a worthy cause.

AVCC was founded in 2010 and is currently develop plans for a new venue. At this time AVCC is invited to play a full season of regular games on Saturdays at many of the finest cricket clubs in the tristate area As a volunteer-run, family friendly nonprofit organization, AVCC puts equal emphasis on three components of the club: sport, social events, and community service.
A highlight of the season is the club's annual fundraising event and cricket tournament, which raises money for a local charity. In its brief life span, AVCC has donated over $20,000 to charitable organizations. The club also seeks to encourage and promote the sport of cricket in the area, through its junior program, winter indoor nets, and various social events throughout the year. As a traveling side we aim to play the sport in the spirit in which it was mean to be played and to build on our reputation of gracious hospitality and camaraderie.
